My Story…

Golden Connections was born from a deeply personal journey—one that started with uncertainty and ended in rediscovery.

Four years ago, after a severe case of COVID-19, I was left with lingering symptoms that stole my energy, focus, and memory. For a time, I genuinely believed I was facing early-onset dementia. I began to prepare for a future I thought would lead me to an assisted living facility—not because of age, but because of my declining cognitive health.

But then something incredible happened.

The owner of Home Helpers Home Care Canton, GA saw something in me I thought I had lost. He gave me a place to serve—helping seniors. It wasn’t about marketing or metrics at first. It was about showing up with empathy. I felt safe in that world, because seniors didn’t judge me for my brain fog—they welcomed me, and I understood them in a way many couldn’t.

Through helping Home Helpers grow its online footprint, creating educational posts, and diving into digital strategy, I also discovered something life-changing: I wasn’t facing dementia—I was facing a severe B12 deficiency triggered by COVID-19. And when my levels were restored, so was my brain.

With renewed clarity, I stepped deeper into my dual role as SEO strategist and Community Liaison, growing the brand’s online reach and supporting the senior community I love so much. Along the way, I realized I was also quietly helping other businesses—coaching them, organizing their systems, and helping them find their voice online.

Golden Connections is the natural evolution of that work.
